The Brooklyn Nets ended their first trip to through the Western Conference on a sour note Wednesday, as they were defeated by the Golden State Warriors 102-93, ending the trip 1-2 and falling to 6-4 overall on the young season.
Brook Lopez led the way with 22 points and three blocks on the night, but the Nets had no answers for the Warriors trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, David Lee. Thompson had 19 of his 23 points in the second half, Curry scored 25 points and added six rebounds and four assists, while David Lee had 20 points to go with a game- high 13 rebounds and six assists.
While both teams enjoy the league wide respite of Thanksgiving Day, they return to action Friday night, with the Warriors travelling to Denver to face the Nuggets, and the Nets return to Brooklyn hoping to end their two- game skid when they face the Los Angeles Clippers.
