The Brooklyn Nets won their fifth straight Friday night in Orlando, beating the Magic 98-86 in the first of two games the Nets are expected to be without their star center Brook Lopez. After leading by only one at halftime, the Nets took over in the second half, outscoring the Magic 53-42 for the victory, their fifth straight, and 11th for the month of November, which is their most wins in any month since March of 2006. Joe Johnson led the Nets with 22 points on 10 of 16 shooting, and Gerald Wallace added 20 points and was five of six from three point land. The Magic, playing without Jameer Nelson (sore achillies tendon), were led by Glen "Big Baby' Davis with 16 points, and E'Twaan Moore, who had 13 points.
The Nets' Florida tour continues tonight in an eagerly anticipated rematch with the Defending Champion Miami Heat, who beat them by 30 in their last meeting.
